Tyre pressure sensors

Has anyone figured out how to turn off the tyre pressure monitor in the XLT or Wildtrak?

I have an XLT and decided to change the hub cap looking wheels for a set of Wildtraks. Unfortunately the new wheels don't have the sensors in them which results in annoying 'Malfunction' warning in the cab every 15 minutes. Ford dealer had quoted $250 for new sensors since the ones in the XLT wheels apparently can't be removed and swapped?

Appreciate anyone's input with similar experience.

Think your dealer is having a lend of you, your wheel sensors can be removed and put on other rims.
If you need more info join Newranger.net which is the Australian ranger forum which will have heaps of info to cover PX & PX2 rangers.

Cheers.
