Thermostat housing-stuck bolt

I was recently trying to change the thermostat out in my 2010. The bolt in the back that's hardest to get to spins but won't go up or down. Has this happened to anyone else, as in a reoccurring problem or do I just have a stripped bolt?

Also, are there any suggestions for getting it out without too much deconstruction?
