Idler pulley was a-bit noisy…the belt fell off! Finally got the left-handed bolt free from the fan unit…. The idler shaft had ‘SPIT THE BEARING OUT OF THE TIMING CHAIN COVER’. Admittedly the vehicle has 248,000 chassis miles….it has been behind a motorhome for at least 125,000 miles! Winters were in south Texas….(Vehicle is like new no-upper mid-west rust!) MY QUESTION HOW OFTER DO FAILURES LIKE HAPPEN

I can’t wait to hear responses to my post!
thanx Red
