Ignition Lock Keyway Tiny Contact

When replacing the ignition lock cylinder, a small plastic contact housing broke away from the housing cylinder. I slipped it back in place, but it would not stay as a small piece that is on the inside of the cylinder could not be made to stay in its original position. I attempted to start the truck, but the ignition would not turn over. I suspect this tiny contact is the culprit, but cannot identify it in any literature that I have. The vehicle is a 5-speed manual 3.0 L V6. Any help identifying this little component and obtaining a replacement would be greatly appreciated.
