When you plug in the OBD scanner tool.

Get in the car - with the key fob, not pressing on the brake - press the push to start - so it DOESN'T Start, but illuminates the lights on the Dash so you see the Engine, Oil - Battery - those kind of lights

Leave it in this state when you check for codes on your OBD.

Then turn it off when you're done.

This may need some TLC and some tools to fix a loose or corroded battery connection.

Recent threads that have gotten posted can help with this.

If possible, charge and load test the battery. Just because the voltage may read as good does not mean that it delivers cranking voltage. It might have an internal short.

Well, what I'm reading here is you found the grounds - good! Thanks for cleaning them up...

You didn't give a lot of information though; we need to know if you can get the OBD scanner to work and tell of any codes when you just turn on the car to Run or Ignition - not START.

You will need to take apart that Red terminal and investigate the condition of that battery post and those fuses that are in that terminal - the wires BOLT to it, so it needs to be verified that the fuses here in this terminal - are still good and let power flow to the bolt that the wire bolts to.

Make sure the wires are firmly bolted - that Starter alternator big cable to the top of the terminal has a fuse in it too - 450 amps - make sure the cable is getting voltage all the time from the battery and those bolts are not loose.

Then you will have to go to the fuseblock by the battery and remove its cover so you can check those fuses and relays - relays help start the car - so you're going to need to possibly get some help - you might have to swap relays to see if relays are bad or stuck - not working.

So hooked a car scanner to it and no communication then tried my obd also no communication
Tr side says all kinda malfunctions
And no kms showing up on dash when pushing the start button hope that kinda helps

Hmmm...you did check the fuses in the fusebox?..

But Code 16 means ECM and Immobilizer (Alarm) are not communicating - so that means someone may have "cut" the wires to the module - since the PCM looks to the Alarm module as part of the Passive Anti Theft System (PATS) - the system won't start until a loopback test is completed and the starter then engages once the PATS system says it's ok to do so.

So this may mean a trip to the dealership, and they may have to make up a new harness to the Alarm - or locate the PCM (ECM) Power Control Module (Engine Control Module) and make sure the wires are seated in the connector's sockets - if you can't seem to get it started, then the PATS system is preventing you from doing this.

You get lights to the Pods - Instrument Cluster - Head Information Display? Then something with the PATS system is preventing your ability to Start the car - you see Code 16 - but the system won't start until Code 16 is cleared.

There may be a blown fuse in the Fuse box, but which one?

So, BOTH fuse box locations, one in the Engine compartment and the other in behind the Glovebox, need to be reviewed and checked - get out the Owners-manual - you'll need to refer to it to find which fuse it may be.

But the PATS system - if you have a printed manual - go to Page 144, the Fuses are on pages 256 thru 263.
